Getting Started with Tatler Social
You already know how to create and schedule social media posts. This guide walks you through where everything lives in the new Social CMS.
Logging In
There are two ways to sign in โ choose whichever is easier for you.
Sign in with Google
The quickest option. Visit social-cms.tatlerasia.com, click Continue with Google, and choose your Tatler Google account. You'll be signed in instantly with no email needed.
Sign in with a magic link
Prefer not to use Google? Enter your email address and click Send magic link. Check your inbox โ a one-click login link will arrive within a minute. The link expires after 15 minutes, so use it promptly. If it expires, just request a new one.
๐ก Check your spam folder if the email doesn't arrive within 2 minutes.
Your Dashboard
Once logged in, you'll land on the Drafts page โ your home base. Everything you create starts here.
The left sidebar
This is your navigation. You'll see:
- Draft โ posts you're still working on
- Scheduled โ posts queued to go out
- Failed โ posts that didn't publish (needs attention)
- Published โ posts that went live successfully
- Link in Bio โ manage what shows on your account's public link-in-bio page
My Drafts vs All Drafts
Use My Drafts to see only your posts. Switch to All Drafts to see what the whole team is working on.
List view and Grid view
Toggle between list and grid view using the icons in the top right corner of the drafts panel. Both show the same posts โ it's just a matter of preference.
Creating a New Post
Every post starts with the Create New Post button. Think of a post as a container โ it holds your slides, caption, and schedule all in one place.
Click "Create New Post"
The blue button is always visible in the top left of your screen. Click it to open a small dialog.
Choose a platform
Pick Instagram, Facebook, Threads, or YouTube. This decides which connected accounts you'll be able to publish to later.
Choose a post type
Pick Carousel or Reel (Facebook and Threads also offer Link Post). This decides which fields and limits apply โ see Platform Limits for what each combination supports. YouTube skips this step โ every YouTube post is a single video, so there's no post type to choose.
Give your post an internal title
This is just for you and your team โ it won't appear on the published post. Use something descriptive like "May Cover Story" or "BBTW Event Recap". Then click Create.

Adding Media to Your Slides
Each slide in your carousel needs an image or video. You have two ways to add one.
Upload an image or video from your computer
Click Browse media to open a file picker, or simply drag and drop a file onto the upload area.
- Supported formats: JPG, PNG, HEIC, MP4
- Maximum size: 30MB per image, 300MB per video (up to 4GB for YouTube)
Bulk upload: select or drag up to 10 files at once โ each one instantly becomes its own slide, in the order you picked them, so you don't have to add slides one at a time.
Design in Canva
- Click Create in Canva โ a dialog will ask whether you want an Image or Video slide.
- Choose your slide type. If it's your first time, you'll be prompted to connect your Canva account.
- You'll be taken to the Canva editor on canva.com. Use the Tatler Social Media templates already in your account to design your slide.
- When done, click the Return to Tatler Social button in the top-right corner to come back โ your slide is automatically added to the post.
Crop your image
A crop dialog appears automatically after upload. If you uploaded several files at once, they all show up as thumbnails along the bottom โ click one to crop it, or + to add more. Adjust the frame to your liking, then click Done to add every slide to the post in one go.
Edit your image (optional)
Once cropped, click Edit image to open the full image editor. You can adjust filters, brightness, contrast, add text, stickers, and more โ all without leaving the CMS.
Add more slides
Already bulk-uploaded a batch? Click + Add new slide any time you need one more, one at a time. You can drag the โ ฟ handle on the left of each slide to reorder them.
Maximum slides per post depends on platform โ 10 for Instagram and Facebook, 20 for Threads (see Platform Limits). This is a limitation of Meta's API, not the CMS itself โ the Instagram app allows more, so if you need an Instagram post with more than 10 slides, you'll need to create it directly in the Instagram mobile app.
Customize a Reel's thumbnail
Hover over the video and click the โฎ menu that appears in the top-right corner, then choose Update Thumbnail. Pick an image from your computer, crop it, and click Done โ the new image replaces the auto-generated video frame as the cover people see before they tap play.

Post Details
Scroll down to 2. Post details and click the + to expand it. This is where you write your caption and set everything that goes with it.
Post caption *
Write your caption here. This is what appears below your post. Include hashtags directly in the caption.
Link attachment (Link Post only)
Paste a URL and a preview card (image, title, and domain pulled from the page) appears automatically, so you can see what your audience will see before you post.
First comment
Use this field to add a first comment that posts automatically alongside your caption.
Link-in-bio (Instagram only)
Toggle this on and paste a URL to have this post show up on the account's Link in Bio page with that link, once it goes live. Useful for article links, event pages, and campaign pages. You can also enable or edit this later from the Link in Bio page itself.
Tag user (Instagram only)
Tag Instagram accounts that appear in your post. Search by the account's username (e.g. "janedoe"), not their display name โ then select the correct account from the dropdown.
Collab (Instagram only)
Add up to 3 collaborators to co-author the post on Instagram. Each collaborator gets an invite notification, and their username is added to the post once they accept โ the post then appears on all profiles involved.

Scheduling Your Post
Once your slides and caption are ready, scroll down to the 3. Schedule post section at the bottom of the draft to set when and where your post goes out.
Choose an account
Click the Publish to dropdown and select the account you want to post to. It only lists accounts for the platform you chose when creating the post โ Instagram, Facebook, or Threads.
Set a date and time
Click the date field to open the calendar. Select any future date, then adjust the time. All times are in UTC+8 (Hong Kong Time). Schedule at least a few minutes into the future to give the system time to process.
Or publish right away
Toggle Now next to the date field to skip picking a date and time entirely โ the post publishes as soon as you click Post. Useful for time-sensitive posts that can't wait for the next scheduling slot.
Click Post
The green Post button appears once an account is selected, along with either a date and time or the Now toggle. Click it โ you'll see a confirmation and be taken to the Scheduled view (or Published, if you used Now).

Platform Limits
These limits come from Meta's API โ they're the same whether you post through this CMS or directly on Instagram, Facebook, or Threads.
| Platform | Post type | Media | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carousel (1 slide = single image/video) | 1โ10 images/videos, mixed OK | Each video up to 60 sec. All slides crop to match the first slide's aspect ratio. | |
| Reel | 1 video only | 3 sec โ 15 min, up to 300MB. | |
| Carousel (1 slide = single photo/video) | 1โ10 photos, or 1 video alone | Photos and video can't be mixed in the same post. | |
| Reel | 1 video only | Up to 300MB. | |
| Link Post | No media โ hyperlink optional | โ | |
| Carousel (1 slide = single image/video) | 1โ20 images/videos, mixed OK | Each video up to 5 min, 300MB. | |
| Reel | 1 video only | Up to 5 min, 300MB. | |
| Link Post | No media โ hyperlink optional | โ | |
| Video (no post type to choose) | 1 video only | Up to 4GB. |
Managing Your Posts
Use the left sidebar to move between views. Here's what each status means:
Draft
Posts you're still working on. You can view and edit any draft in the CMS, including those created by other team members.
Scheduled
Posts that are queued and waiting to go out. The view shows a calendar on the left and a date-grouped list on the right โ click any date on the calendar to jump to it. The post is locked โ to make changes, click Unschedule first.
Published
Posts that have gone live successfully. You can view them here for reference.
Failed
Posts that didn't publish โ usually due to a connection issue. Open the post to see the error and try rescheduling.
The Scheduled page uses a split layout to give you a quick overview of your content pipeline:
Calendar panel (left)
A full month calendar showing the current month. Use the โ โ arrows to move between months, or click the month/year dropdown to jump further. Days with scheduled posts are marked with a dot. Click any date to scroll the list to that day.
Date list (right)
Posts are grouped by day. Each day section can be collapsed or expanded with the chevron. To schedule a post for a specific date, open the draft and use the Schedule post section at the bottom โ not from this view.
Post entries
Each scheduled post shows the thumbnail, platform icon, account name, caption preview, scheduled time, and the team member who scheduled it. Click the โฏ menu on the right for quick actions.
Click the โฏ (three dots) on any of your posts to access quick actions:
Rename
Change the internal title of the post. This doesn't affect the caption.
Duplicate
Creates an exact copy of the post as a new draft. Useful when creating similar posts for different accounts.
Copy CMS link
Copies a direct link to this post in the CMS. Share with a colleague for quick access or review.
Delete
Permanently deletes the post. You'll be asked to confirm before anything is removed.
Managing Your Link in Bio Page
Each Instagram account has a public Link in Bio page โ a mobile-friendly landing page for the single link Instagram allows in a bio. Use the Link in Bio item in the left sidebar to control what shows up on it.
Switch accounts and browse the IG Feed
Use the account dropdown at the top to pick an Instagram account, then click the IG Feed tab. This shows every post that's live on that account's real Instagram feed โ including ones posted directly from the Instagram app, not just posts made in this CMS.
Turn a post on and add a custom link
Flip the Link-in-bio toggle on any post to add it to the public page. Paste a URL into the field below it โ this is the link people land on when they tap that post. Click away from the field to save; you'll see a "Link updated" confirmation.
Review the curated page
Switch to the Link in Bio tab to see only the posts you've turned on for the date range selected on the calendar. Click a date to view that single day, or click a second date to select a range โ every day in between gets highlighted. Click the same day again to collapse back to a single date. Use the โป sync icon on any post to re-pull its latest caption and image from Instagram.
Preview the live page
Click the external-link icon next to the account dropdown to open the public Link in Bio page exactly as visitors see it.
Pin important posts
Click the ๐ pin icon on any post to pin or unpin it. When more than one post is pinned, pinned posts are ordered by their latest publish date, most recent first.

Tips & Reminders
A few things to keep in mind while you're exploring the CMS.
Works on mobile
The CMS is fully accessible on your phone or tablet. Just open social-cms.tatlerasia.com in your mobile browser โ no app download needed.
Your changes save automatically
There's no Save button โ the CMS saves your caption, tags, and settings as you type. You can close the tab and come back later without losing anything.
Schedule at least a few minutes ahead
When picking your time, make sure it's at least a few minutes in the future. Scheduling too close to "now" may cause the post to fail.
Upload Slide 1 before adding more slides
For the smoothest experience, add your image or video to Slide 1 first before clicking "+ Add new slide".
Video is supported
MP4 files up to 300MB are accepted in any slide. You can also mix images and videos in the same carousel.
This is a real production system
The accounts you post to are live Tatler accounts. Feel free to create and schedule posts โ just double-check the account, date, and content before clicking Post.
Share Your Experience
You're among the first to use Tatler Social โ your feedback directly shapes how it develops. If something feels confusing, broken, or could work better, please let us know.
